New Volunteer Opportunities have been posted!
Front Door Helpers
The new safety and security processes introduced this year have stretched the front office staff a little thin! We don't have a buzzer yet, so it would be incredibly helpful to have volunteers help by being an extra set of hands. Each volunteer window is one hour around lunchtime (10:30-11:30 and/or 11:30-12:30), one of the busiest times of the day. Feel free to sign up for both slots in a day if your schedule allows!
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Hands on Science volunteer signups are now posted for ALL GRADES!
Watch D.O.G.S and School Store now live!
Let's help stock the classrooms for our teachers! A consolidated list of all Amazon Wish Lists has been added to mwepta.com!
Find Your Teacher's List
Spirit Wear pre-orders were delivered in August, but a few LIMITED sizes are still available! Please email Adrienne Batchelor at MWESpiritWear@gmail.com with your request.

As a reminder, if your child is getting lunch from the cafeteria, MWE will NOT have a waiver for free lunch again this school year. You will need to do one of the following.
1) PREPAY OR PAY FOR SCHOOL LUNCH
Please take advantage of the options to prepay your student's meal accounts. Prepaid meal accounts help the lunch lines go faster and gives students more time to eat, relax, and play. It also gives you the peace of mind of not having to worry about looking for lunch money
every day or worry that it might get lost, stolen or used for other things other than lunch.
If you choose to bring money to school personally or send it with your student, please put it in an envelope clearly marked with the student's first and last name, their ID #, their teacher's name, and the amount enclosed.
2) APPLY FOR FREE/REDUCED LUNCH
If your family needs this, you will need to fill out a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program Application. These applications will go home in the First Day Packets on the first day of school. For a quicker response, you can fill the application out online starting now. Log on to
www.schoolcafe.com to complete the application.
If you have any questions about registration or free and reduced-price lunches, please reach out to Susan Snelling at 713-251-6204 or Susan.Snelling@springbranchisd.com
One last note - from the schoolcafe site, you can also see a calendar view of the full month of lunches! This is so helpful when planning ahead! I never did spot this last year since we didn't need to register to pay!
